How to make a 3D DIY Card
1. Cut out the pattern
Download and print out the FREE flower template I've linked at the beginning of this tutorial. Grab your scissors and carefully cut along the traced pattern to get beautiful petals.

Cut out the petals following the template
2. Color the petals
Using watercolors, paint the petals with your mom's favorite colors. Don’t forget to paint both sides of the petals to get the most realistic effect!

Color your petals
3. Shaping
Use a stick to shape your flowers. Make a small curve at the edge of each petal. Remember to be gentle not to make any crease.

4. Stick them together
Use a glue gun to attach the petals. You should end up with 5 cute layers of petals.

Apply glue to attach the petals together
Continue to apply glue to stick these layers together. You should put glue on the edges of each layer so that the glue lines won't be too obvious.

This is what it's going to look like once you've done assembling the petals. Continue to make two more lovely flowers with different colors.

And there you go! Your 3 beautiful 3D flowers have been beautifully made.

5. Apply to the base card
Use the glue gun to apply the flowers one-by-one to your card cover. Put small branches and leaves for decoration to make it more appealing.

6. Finishing touches
Cut out the messages in the printable template.

Use a hole punch to make holes on the message pieces.

Next, tie a bow knot around your card and thread the hemp cord through the messages' holes. Then, tie a perfect knot.

Finally, cut out unnecessary cords to finish decorating.

Here you are! A lovely 3D gift card decorated with beautiful paper flowers. If you use a black base card like me, you can write the messages inside with a silver gel pen for a nice contrast effect.
